SUMMARY:OHIO SOCIETY ANNUAL ELECTIONS
DESCRIPTION:NOTE: Due to inclement weather\, the date for the annual elections has changed to Feb. 24:\n\n\nInterested in becoming more involved in the Ohio Society? On Tuesday\, February 24\, 7:15 pm.\, come to Hawk & Dove (329 Penn. Ave SE) for Ohio Society meeting and annual elections.\n\n\n\nBeing part of the Ohio Society Board of Directors is a unique leadership opportunity and a great way to meet more fellow Ohioans in the DC area.\n\nThe Ohio Society Board of Directors works together to plan\, execute\, and staff Ohio Society events.\n\nPositions and Additional Responsibilities:\n\nPresident\n\nThe President is chief executive officer of the society and is responsible for running and planning board meetings including annual elections. He or she works with the Vice President to maintain and build new relationships with our business partners.  He or she monitors the main email inbox of the Ohio Society.\n\nVice President\nThe VP runs Board Meetings and carries out the duties of the President when the President is unavailable.  He or she works with the President to maintain and build new relationships with our business partners. He or she works closely with board members and oversees events.\n\n\nTreasurer \nThe Treasurer manages the finances of the society and reports all financial activity to the board members at board meetings.\n\nMembership Director\n\nThe Membership Director works to expand our membership\, manages the list serve and sends out email distributions through Mail Chimp.\n\nCommunications Director\nThe Communications Director is responsible for publicizing Ohio Society events through Facebook\, Twitter and other vehicles.  He or she updates and manages our website.\n\nCollege/University Alumni Liaison\nThe College/University Alumni Liaison works to continue to connect the Ohio Society with the extensive Ohio college/University alumni networks in DC.\n\n\nDirector of Community Service events\n\nHe or she plans and executes community service events.Secretary\nThe Secretary will take minutes of each Board Meeting and email them to the group following the meeting.\n\nIf you would like to run for a position or have any question send an email to president@ohiosociety.org. All due-paying members of the Ohio Society are invited to attend the elections and vote.
